My Twentieth Week of Pregnancy Update
Baby is the size of a: Small cantaloupe! Yummy!!
Total weight gain: Around eleven pounds.
Maternity clothes: One pair of jeans or a belly-band over my regular jeans, and maxi skirts. However, I did just purchase (online, no less!) some khaki beachy-looking maternity pants and after I washed them I fell in love with them. They are so comfortable and soft! And I recently just bought two new long tank tops because I literally have to wear layers - all of my shirts are too short otherwise!
Stretch marks: Not a single one. And I am putting on cocoa butter regularly as well.
Sleep: Sleep is not my friend right now. I used to be the best sleeper in the world... However, lately, I have been wanting to sleep in all of the positions they tell you not to sleep in during pregnancy, and for whatever reason my body refuses to compromise. Just no sleep. Or I do sleep but I never wake up feeling rested. It is frustrating and makes me very zombie-ish.
Exercise: Walking briskly on the treadmill with an incline! And a few stretches which I have found are great for helping natural unmedicated labor. Oh, and I used the cycle at the gym the other day as well, too, and it felt wonderful. And I did do five really solidly beautiful push-ups the other day. But I also realized that I have gained weight and I was thinking to myself, "why do I feel so heavy?" and then realized I hadn't done a single push-up since early in the pregnancy and I was not used to those additional 10+ pounds. It was weird. I'm not going to try that again! I think I will keep with the walking/cycling/squatting(no weight)/pelvic tilt/butterfly stuff that I know isn't going to give me a hernia.
Miss anything: Nothing in particular!
Movement: Yes! I love watching this little bean kick and turn and roll and nudge me. It is so exciting knowing there's someone in there who is active and, I hope, happy!
Food cravings: Subway. All. The. Time. And lately salt and vinegar kettle cooked chips. Delish.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Actually my prenatals have been sort of rude lately.
Gender: Yes. I think boy or girl.
Labor signs: None!
Happy or moody most of the time: Sort of moody, lately. I think it's the lack of solid sleep.
Looking forward to: Hopefully sleeping soon. Like, legitimately sleeping. Oh, and looking at my beautiful baby in a few months! And getting past labor. And seeing Jarad hold his baby. All of that.
