My Twenty-Third Week of Pregnancy Update
Baby is the size of a: LARGE mango. (Like, huge, basically. 11.5 inches and 1.1 lbs!) I have never in my life seen a mango that is larger than a spaghetti squash, but, alas, that is the reference they offer. Lies.
Total weight gain: 12-13 lbs!
Maternity clothes: All I have to say is: Thank God for stretchy everything.
Stretch marks: Nope!
Sleep: Has been getting progressively better.
Exercise: Walking and stretching!
Miss anything: Weather below 70 degrees... Umm, hello, Colorado.. Please get it together.
Movement: All. The. Time. Seriously this little baby is a full on jumping bean. It is so trippy (and by trippy I mean awesome/exhilarating/beautiful/incredible/miraculous) to watch and feel all of the movement!
Food cravings: Lately, sweets. I found Jujy Fruits the other day... Everything went downhill from there.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Just the usual!
Gender: Okay, I really should delete this question. We all know that it has to be one or the other.. And not being able to provide an answer every week is killing me!
Labor signs: Thankfully, none! But let me just say how excited I am to be so close to the 24 week mark where baby has a 50/50 chance of life outside of the womb. If that isn't a powerful milestone then I don't know what is.
Happy or moody most of the time: So incredibly happy. Feeling very nostalgic and affectionate lately. If I tell you I love you in abundance lately, thank this beautiful Bean.
Looking forward to: Labor, oddly enough. I mean, I am not looking forward to the pain that I know I will endure.. But I know that pain is going to bring me closer to the biggest blessing I have ever know. That's an honor. Laboring this child will be an absolute honor, and that is absolutely something to look forward to!
