My Fifteenth Week Pregnancy Update
Baby is the size of a: Apple! Which is awesome because I eat at least one a day because they are delicious.
Total weight gain: To my knowledge about seven pounds.
Maternity clothes: Yes! But only because my jeans hate me. I am in one pair of maternity jeans and wear the others with a belly band which is a complete life-saver.
Stretch marks: Luckily not any... Yet. Fingers crossed.
Sleep: For the most part I sleep exceptionally well. I've always been a stomach-sleeper but in the last several weeks I have had to prop up my tummy with a pillow in between my legs and up against my stomach so all of the weight isn't resting directly on my tummy. It feels different!
Exercise: Not yet!
Miss anything: Jimmy Johns subs. Hollandaise sauce. Cesar salads. Basically all food. Oh, and fitting in my clothes like a normal person.
Movement: Yes! This picture was taken on the last day of my 15th week, but I began to feel movement on the very first day of my 15th week and have been feeling movement here and there consistently every day since. Always in the same general area, and always the same sensation. It is awesome!
Food cravings: I really like salty, sour, and spicy foods such as jalapeno chips, spicy carrots, nachos with jalapenos, pickles, pickled okra, etc. (I actually DID eat pickles and ice cream yesterday. It was delicious and I don't even feel bad about it.) All other cravings are on an individual basis. For instance, I will see someone eating a _______ and immediately decide I need that in my mouth/tummy. And I never quite forget about it until I eat it. And then it's basically the most delicious thing I've ever eaten in my whole life. Every. Time.
Anything making you queasy or sick: THE FRIDGE. I HATE IT. Also, leftovers. And trashcans. And random weird smells. If anyone ever asks me to "smell this" I don't even bother trying to attempt to smell it. I just say "no thanks."
Gender: We have no idea!
Labor signs: Thankfully, none. I hope to keep it that way until at least my 36th week!
Happy or moody most of the time: I think happy. But you'd have to ask the people around me to be sure! Because, honestly, I think I am being totally rational at all times. But I guarantee that pre-pregnancy-Rachael would probably see me and disagree. Who knows.
Looking forward to: Kicks getting stronger. I am really looking forward to when hubby can feel the movements, too! It's a joy being able to carry the baby but sometimes it saddens me that Jarad can't feel everything that I do. So I am really excited for when he is able to feel the baby kick and move. (:
