My Sixteenth Week of Pregnancy Update
The reason I do not, unfortunately, have a "pregnancy board" picture for this week is because I was in the beautiful city of Washington, D.C. for work and was, obviously, unable to bring my chalkboard and chalk with me! However, you will still find an update below. (:
Baby is the size of a: Large Avocado! Which sounds delicious.. Dangitt, now I want one.
Total weight gain: About eight pounds.
Maternity clothes: Yes, I have one pair of jeans and one pair of slacks that I just bought.. Still not sold on the slacks, though. But I also purchased the belly-band and that has been a complete and utter life-saver! I am mostly in my pre-pregnancy jeans. Just no longer buttoning or zipping them, which is odd and yet extremely comfortable.
Stretch marks: Not that I can see.
Sleep: My darling husband bought me a maternity sleeping "Boppy" pillow. It is AMAZING. I have been sleeping really well with the boppy. While out of town my sleep was mediocre, but that is likely because I was in a different place. All-in-all, though, I would say sleep is still fairly easy. I am trying to get in as much as I can while I still can!
Exercise: If we can count an inordinate amount of walking, then yes.
Miss anything: Not today!
Movement: Thankfully, yes. While in D.C. baby's movement was EXTREMELY decreased. Which, as a first time and new mommy, is terrifying. We were walking almost constantly, so it is likely the baby was just as tired as I was or was simply in a position in which I couldn't feel him/her. Luckily on the way to work today babybean was kicking up a storm! Awesome!
Food cravings: I cant think of any off of the top of my head. I haven't been craving as much this week. Except, I did eat Subway three times while I was in D.C.... So, I guess that? (No worries fellow mommies and preggies - I always get them heated up so the meat is not cold!)
Anything making you queasy or sick: The plane right yesterday. Not necessarily the plane itself, per say, but I was in the rear end of the plane (which was rather small) and fairly close to the restroom.. And since it was a LONG flight the restroom was frequented quite a bit. That was gross.
Gender: Still no clue and not finding out! 23 weeks or so more to go and then we will all know!
Labor signs: Nada!
Happy or moody most of the time: Happy. The last few days were exhausting (although awesome) and I could tell a HUGE difference in my body's ability to "keep up." I was aching from head to toe in ways I never have before! So I was likely a little quieter than normal, but still happy!
Looking forward to: Check-up appointment next week. Cant wait to hear that precious heartbeat again and hear whether or not it has gone up or down! (Started at 182, dropped to 165, dropped to 156.. Curious whether it will continue dropping!)
